“Dar posada”: to offer lodging, shelter, refuge, and food to travelers and merchants.
Posada del León de Oro is the third oldest hotel in Madrid. Located in La Latina neighborhood, it has been providing lodging to merchants and travelers since 1880.
Tradition and honesty are our hallmarks, and our “cocido madrileño” (Madrid traditional stew) and the stewed boneless oxtail are prime examples of this.
“Cocido” is much more than just a dish; it is part of Madrid’s culinary identity.
Prepared with fresh ingredients and recipes passed down from generation to generation, every bite encapsulates the memories of those who cooked it before.
